Hello New Friend,
Thank you for your interest in my artwork!
As a chronic pain warrior of scoliosis, I needed to have an outlet to express the challenges and hopes I have in my journey towards better health. These elongated figures symbolize my practice in stretching out my body and working towards feeling less tight, knotted up, and in pain. I hope that my work also connects me to others who share this struggle and are working towards managing chronic pain.
I have a Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington and a Masters in Psychology from Antioch University. I've practiced as a mental health counselor, art therapist, and art restorationist. These experiences continue to remind me that art is one of the purest forms of self-expression. One that can beautifully connect us all. It is what drives me to reach out and connect with the community around us!
My husband and our daughter, along with 3 dogs, live in Seattle, WA.
